"We purchased Maple flooring and red oak trim and stair treads from Mountain Craft Wide Plank in the summer of 2021. I've waited until now to post a review because I wanted to gauge the durability of the product before I commented. We spent a few extra dollars and had both sides of the planks sealed, and we have had zero issues with humidity, warping decolorization, etc.

The person who installed the product for me has 40 years in the home remodeling business, and he stated that this is the best flooring he has ever worked with!!! The tongue and groove push together by hand and don't need to be pounded together like the product you buy at the big box stores.

We refloored our entire house in maple and also upgraded the stairs and landing going from the 1st to the 2nd floor in red oak. The finished product looks amazing, and I couldn't be happier with the material.

Our design + build company contracts with Mountain Craft. Mountain Craft sources local timber — red and white oak, hickory, cherry, maple, and poplar — and mills, dries, and finishes its lumber on-site in Bruceton Mills. This allows for a fully custom product with a wide variety of custom options. Matt Thorn (owner) is super knowledgeable and hard-working. We especially love that his company’s eco-footprint is quite low! We highly recommend this local company for all your wood flooring, trim, stair treads, paneling, or molding needs. Mountain Craft Wide Plank is the best! In love with my new floor! Can’t say enough good things about Matt Thorne (owner)!  He is such a great guy to work with, knowledgeable, professional, and produces a quality product!  He custom-made an antiqued distressed red/white oak in 3”, 4”, 5”, and a few 6” widths and random lengths. Ordered Hickory flooring to redo a bedroom.  The product was beautiful and had the right mix of sizes to give it the perfect look. I did the installation myself and had no issues with the quality of the machining or finish.  I will purchase more for other rooms. They offer a wide variety of species and finishes, all of them beautiful.  

The hard part is choosing one!

We ordered about 700 square feet of finished hickory flooring with “character “ in 3, 4, and 5 in widths.  The product was ready in a reasonable time period.  We replaced carpeting in our dining area , living room, a bedroom and hallway with this product.  We were very pleased with the result and ordered more to finish our bedroom and another hallway.
Matt Thorne was very knowledgeable about the wood, easy to work with, and sold us a great product.

I am a local contractor in Morgantown WV, and I went to Mountain Craft Wide Plank looking for tongue and groove flooring for a remodeling job for myself. I met Matt Thorn (owner) and was given a warm welcome and a complete tour of his facilities. I was very impressed with his manufacturing facility and his employees are very professional and hard working. He was very helpful in answering any questions I had about his wood products.
